From Dating Disaster to Master

An interview with Sacred Union coach Emilia Nagy

Today I interview Sacred Union coach Emilia Nagy and I am SOO excited to share this with you !!!

Hers is not just another online dating success story (500 dates in 10 years right around the globe !!!), but, in her own words, a journey from “disaster to master”when it comes to love.

She didn’t set out to become a Sacred Union coach (she used to work in property) but her own search for love and healing accidentally unlocked her sacred purpose - helping spiritually awakened women navigate the complexities of modern dating.

Much of what Emilia shared was so familiar to me in terms of the wonky “love blueprint” she inherited from her family of origin, which caused her "“picker” to be “off” (made me laugh !!) and the way in which conventional therapy just didn’t help to shift these patterns or resource her with the understanding and skills she needed to meet healthy, masculine men.

It took her 10 years and 500 dates, along with deep and ongoing personal development, including studying Alison Armstrong’s body of work on understanding men, that began to make a difference: gradually up-levelling the calibre of man she met. Until one day she met her husband (on Craiglist) with whom she now enjoys what feels like a “sacred union.”

In this generous, frank and fun conversation Emilia shares her journey from being “poor in love” to her glorious devotional marriage, along with the three key steps she had to take to get there. She also graciously answers some of my burning questions like "why are men always objectifying me on dating apps?” and “where ARE all the good men???"

If I’m honest, I didn’t like her answer to the first one - don’t show your sensuality in your photos and don’t mention anything too exuberant or expressive (including dance - my greatest passion) in your dating profile, because men will interpret all of that as indicating you are sexy, but not necessarily serious about partnership.

I still need to chew on that one, as I can’t bear the thought of not being my authentic self, but I would also love not to be so constantly objectified and sexualised and instead be seen and respected for who I am.

As for old chestnut “where ARE all the good men?” question, which I and so many conscious women feel like we’ve been asking for aeons, we both felt the resonance when her answer to this question came through: “don’t look for a spiritual man, look for a masculine man.” As she says, if he’s in his healthy masculine he’s already in the realm of the sacred.

There are a lot of dating and relating coaches out there, each with their own unique twist, but what’s clear to me is that a) Emilia’s advice is rooted in many years’ personal and successful professional experience and b) if you want insight around a sacred union type relationship and not just a regular partnership, she has a lot to teach us.

I urge every conscious woman intent on sacred love to watch, listen and learn. There are so many nuggets of gold in this conversation to touch your heart, inspire and support you on your journey!!

Let me know in the comments how you find it.

love, Shakti
